Marlobobo Fanal+ (2025) | Mead

Fanal, a single-varietal cherry mead. *Late Harvest*

At the end of the 2025 harvest season, I had the opportunity to acquire cherries that had been allowed to ripen on the trees for almost a month longer than usual. As a result, they reached a sugar content I had never before encountered in Norwegian Fanal cherries.

These dark, flavourful cherries play a natural leading role in the mead, providing remarkable density and concentration, layered with vibrant acidity and structured tannins. Despite their intensity, they maintain a sense of finesse and clarity, after being infused with wild flower honey.
