A California Common (also called Steam Beer) is a unique, gold to amber-colored American beer style. It is a hybrid beer that combines the freshness of a bottom-fermented beer (lager) with the full, fruity taste of a top-fermented beer (ale)
With Stoombaas, Jelster and De Magistraat join forces for a style with history. California Common is a beer style from the US, a so-called steam beer. Light fruity notes from the special yeast and classic hops, combined with a solid malt base and bitterness. A wonderfully drinkable beer with Rotterdam's idiosyncrasy and Brabant's character.
