De Kromme Haring Bora | BA Saison

The complexity of a good barrel-aged saison is the product of time, wood, and (wild) yeasts. It is one of our favorite beer styles. Bora I is the first release from the barrels that will be dedicated to these beers.

Bora is a fish (a flathead grey mullet, to be precise). It is also a tribute to the forgotten medieval revolutionary Katherina von Bora, who escaped her convent in a herring barrel to join the Reformation.
