Please note: Many of our German specialty beers come from small, local breweries that hardly export. These breweries often use a BBD (best-before date) of only 6 months. This is the date by which the brewer guarantees optimal quality and when the beer is preferably consumed.

The actual shelf life of these beers is generally significantly longer (often around 12 months), provided they are stored correctly. Due to the small-scale import and limited availability, it may occur that a beer is close to its BBD upon delivery. This is a deliberate choice to ensure these unique, locally produced beers can still be made available outside of Germany.
